- "He's so bloody good, isn't he Tess?" Nora was finally able to speak again. "Gawd that felt fabulous. Mmm, good boy." kissing Leo sweetly on the lips she straightened out her dress and fixed her hair. "Is it too early for wine?" she asked, not at all interested in the answer and already reaching into the fridge to retrieve a nicely chilled bottle of white. Her children laughed and rolled their eyes in unison, while Tess grabbed three glasses from the cabinet and handed them to her mother. They nibbled on snacks and drank to regain their energy and Nora bitched and moaned about shitty drivers, lack of parking spaces and how busy town is these days while Tess and Leo chuckled and nodded along. They both actually enjoyed listening to their mums stories and complaints and they knew she didn't have anyone else to vent to, so embraced the responsibility of being mummy's private therapists from time to time. Now however they looked at her differently. The new experiences they'd shared together have broadened the boundaries and limits of their relationship and they found themselves deeply captivated and thoroughly, head over heels, in love with her.
- "So that brings me to what I went into town for," continued Nora after a lengthy anecdote about how every shop has been turned into something useless and how she misses the old days when every shop was a shoe shop. "I've bought some goodies that I intend to share with my little lovers," she explained with a devious spark in her eye and mischief in her tone. She pulled out a set of purple, shiny leather style lingerie with straps and buckles, complete with suspender belt and black stockings.
- "That, mother dearest, is sexy as shit!" exclaimed Tess, already picturing her mother wearing it.
